While a physician's referral is Not required to access Physiotherapy, your doctor's clearance is recommended.

With Physio-Active, you can arrange for a physiotherapy assessment for your tendonitis, and discuss treatment options. Then, if acupuncture is deemed an appropriate modality option for you and you consent to try it, you can have one or two needles as a trial to test your response. Remember, that even after you have consented to try acupuncture, you can still decide to discontinue the treatment at any time! It is entirely your choice to consent to acupuncture, and discontinue whenever you want, even if the treatment has just begun. Alternative treatment can be offered instead, like acupressure, manual therapy, stretching or exercise.
